Michelle Weiner
Michelle Weiner, printmaker and textile artist, captures personal memories, childhood scenes and natural environments, immortalising the tranquil, tender and fleeting moments that permeate the fabric of everyday life.
Salvaging and preserving images and mementos; rescuing countless discarded iPhone snapshots and photographs hidden away in forgotten boxes, Michelle mindfully curates frozen fragments in time to ignite nostalgia in her viewer and illuminate the moments that often go unnoticed, or remain overlooked.
With a background in theatre design and a master's degree from Central Saint Martins, Michelle has collaborated on creative projects and held artist residencies with institutions including, but not limited to, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Dulwich Picture Gallery, and The Albany Theatre. She has exhibited work at the Royal Academy of Arts and is a proud Fellow of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust for her work with arts and older people.
