Anne Zieler’s interest in ceramics began in Ecuador, where she discovered Inca culture and traditional pottery. Fascinated by the intricate designs and natural tones of these early pieces, she enrolled in her first pottery classes. Her journey then led her to Brazil, where she learned to throw on the potter’s wheel, before relocating to Europe and Asia to deepen her craft. Along the way, she refined her skills through courses and workshops led by renowned masters, including award-winning Japanese ceramicist Yukiharu Furuno.

Her time living in Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Belgium, Japan, and Singapore has continuously shaped her artistic style. The unique traditions, cultures, and landscapes of each country serve as a profound source of inspiration. Driven by minimalist aesthetics, vibrant colors, and organic shapes, Anne aims to create simple yet delicate pieces that evoke a sense of calm and peacefulness through subtle contrasts of texture, shade, and form. Whether hand-building or working on the wheel, she constantly pushes the limits of clay by experimenting with innovative shapes, techniques, and glazes to craft one-of-a-kind ceramic works.
